Ferrari Announces Hublot Esports Series

Today, Ferrari officially announced the first season of the ‘Ferrari Hublot Esports Series’. This new European GT Esports championship is organized by Ferrari in partnership with Title sponsor Swiss watchmaker Hublot, and Technical Partner Thrustmaster.

The championship will be run utilizing the Assetto Corsa platform by Kunos Simulazioni. All participants will compete driving a virtual Ferrari 488 Challenge Evo developed by Kunos Simulazioni in cooperation with Ferrari. The car will be available exclusively to the Ferrari Hublot Esports Series contenders.

The Ferrari Hublot Esports Series will feature two categories: the AM Series and the PRO Series. The fastest overall racer will be offered the opportunity to join the Ferrari Driver Academy Hublot Esports Team in 2021.

Potential competitors can register for the championship, free of charge. The Pre-registration for the AM category will start on Monday, August 7, and will be eligible solely for European citizens of 18 years and over.

PRO Players:

24 players, including professionals and well-known personalities, will be competing in the Pro Series starting this October, and will progress to the final stages of the championship in November where they will battle with the best drivers in the AM Series category.

AM Players:

Four weekly qualifiers will be held during the month of September. Six players from each qualifier, for a total of twenty-four, will compete in the AM Series the following month. The winners of the series will join the 24 Esport drivers of the invite PRO Series.

Finale:

The 12 fastest drivers in each category from the four October races will progress to the finals in November where three races will decide who becomes the overall winner of the Ferrari Hublot Esports Series.

The series champion will be offered a spot in the Ferrari Driver Academy Hublot Esports team for the 2021 season, joining Esport talents such as David Tonizza and Enzo Bonito. Ferrari F1 driver Charles Leclerc is the championship ambassador and will be closely monitoring the competitors, and offer them advice based on his experience as both a real and Esports driver.
