If you think you know The Real Driving Simulator, it’s time to step up a gear. Gran Turismo 6 is going full throttle on PlayStation 3, and you’re in the driving seat for spectacular racing that will fuel all your motorsport passions.

Unveiled by legendary Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi at the 15th anniversary event at Silverstone, UK, Gran Turismo 6 has a staggering amount of features under its glossy bonnet. All the cars and tracks from Gran Turismo 5 are joined by even more historic classics and the latest engine revving racers, bringing the total line-up to over 1,200, with new content to be added via add-ons. Multiple aerodynamic parts and custom wheels will be available for most of these vehicles, plus you’ll also be able to create your very own personalised in-game car to race with.

The UK’s Silverstone Circuit and legendary Australian circuit Mount Panorama, Bathurst are among the seven new locations from a total of 33 available to speed through, with 71 different layouts and more to be added via PlayStation Store at a later date. If you want to mix things up, an improved course designer lets you race against your mates across your own creations. And we’re just scratching the surface of what Gran Turismo 6 will offer.
