Gran Turismo 7 – Daytona International Speedway Gameplay

Sony and Polyphony Digital already teased the Daytona International Speedway Road Course as a track in the upcoming Gran Turismo 7 title. Now they have published the first official gameplay footage featuring the home of the Daytona 500.

The PlayStation 5 video capture shows us a Group 3 lap around the Daytona road course layout aboard the Porsche 991 RSR. The video clearly showcases the updated level of detail in both the graphics and sound departments when compared to Gran Turismo Sport.

The Daytona International Speedway is a world-famous racing circuit 50 miles north of Orlando, in Daytona Beach, Florida, United States. The track was built in 1959 and is most famous for its iconic Daytona 500 race, which is the most prestigious race in NASCAR, and the annual Rolex 24 Hour Endurance race. In addition to NASCAR and IMSA events, the track also hosts races of ARCA, AMA Superbike, SCCA, and Motocross.

The racing track features multiple layouts including the primary 2.5-mile (4.0 km) high-speed tri-oval, a 3.56-mile (5.73 km) sports car course, a 2.95-mile (4.75 km) motorcycle course, and a 1,320-foot (400 m) karting and motorcycle flat-track.

If all goes as planned, and no additional delays are introduced, Gran Turismo 7 will launch on March 4, 2022, for both PlayStation5 and PlayStation4 consoles.
