More Gran Turismo Sport Footage

From January 19th to the 24th, 2017 the fifteenth Taipei International Gaming Fair (TGS) took place in Taiwan. With roughly 450,000 visitors the Taipei Game Show has become an increasingly important gateway to China.

Taking up the largest booth space in the show, Sony Interactive Entertainment Taiwan Limited provides over 100 PS4 and PS VR for players to trial their games. The lineup included a playable demo of Polyphony Digital’s Gran Turismo Sport which is one of the most anticipated exclusives that will become available for PlayStation 4.

The included video shows us some new footage of the PS4 Pro version of Gran Turismo Sport running in 4K at 60 frames per second. We can have a look at some bump races at the Brands Hatch and Willow Springs tracks. Lately, most footage videos that pop up on the web seem to be recorded from a PS4 Pro unit, wich makes us wonder how the performance of the game will be on a base PS4 version.

While originally scheduled to become available in 2016, the Gran Turismo Sport release date has been postponed and should be out somewhere in 2017.

Gran Turismo Sport will be a new iteration of the world-renown racing simulation franchise. The game is currently in development as a VR-compatible racing game and will be the first console racing title to feature online competitions sanctioned by the FIA (Federation International Automobile). The game will feature +-140 premium cars and 19 locations featuring 27 layouts.
