GTRevival – Time Of Day Preview Screenshots

A few days ago, Straight4 CEO Ian Bell, shared two new GTRevival WIP screenshots showcasing the Jaguar XJR-9 and Nissan R89C Group C cars in action on the Brazilian Autódromo José Carlos Pace, better known as Autódromo de Interlagos.

In the latest screenshot post, Straight4 showcases some early WIP footage of the Time Of Day (day/night cycle) feature in GTRevival.

The evening shot shows us both the Jaguar XJR-9 and Nissan R89C, joined by a 1988 Porsche 962C Group-C legend as driven by Derek Bell, Hans Joachim Stuck, and Klaus Ludwig. The #17 Porsche 962C finished second at the 1988 24 Hours of Le Mans, behind the famous Jaguar XJR-9.

The GTRevival racing simulator which is currently in development is being billed as a spiritual successor to the GTR series of racing games. While Straight4 has not yet shared detailed information regarding the project, the game promises to include a wide variety of cars and tracks, a realistic physics engine, a comprehensive career mode, an online multiplayer mode, and Modding support, to name a few.

If all goes as planned, the GT Revival racing simulator will become available for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. Straight4 Studios is aiming for a 2024 release.
