KW Studios announced that the historic 2002 DTM content, including the highly sophisticated, purpose-built racing machines of the 2002 Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters, will be coming to RaceRoom.

The pack will include the Opel Astra V8 Coupé, Mercedes AMG CLK-DTM, and the Abt-Audi TT-R, all built with authentic liveries and deep attention to detail.

At the time of writing, no release date or pricing details were shared.

The 2002 DTM season remains a powerful reminder that in motorsport, passion, talent, and a bit of ingenuity can overcome even the most significant financial and technical disadvantages. The 2002 DTM cars represented the pinnacle of Silhouette racing, combining the look of recognizable road cars with the sophisticated engineering of a dedicated prototype.

Entering the 2002 season, the Abt-Audi TT-R was an outsider. While carrying the prestigious Audi badge, Abt Sportsline was a privateer team up against the colossal budgets and engineering prowess of the Mercedes-AMG and Opel OPC factory efforts. Laurent Aïello’s triumph with the Abt-Audi TT-R wasn’t just a championship win; it was an inspiring tale of the underdog rising to the occasion, forever etched in the annals of DTM history.
