2012 V8 Supercar Official Online Series. Round 7 – Road Atlanta.
The Online Series is a genuine race series where drivers compete against other drivers in practice, qualifying and races just like any other series but instead utilising the iRacing.com motorsport simulator with the events existing online.
Running weekly, the series races each week for 12 weeks, 4 seasons in a year and races run anywhere from 38 laps of Okayama to the 19 lap night race at Sebring International.
In the lead up to a race you run a few practice sessions, tune the car to find those valuable split seconds. You can adjust all the same settings as the real Championship car from tyre pressures, sway bar settings, watts link height, shocks and springs for starters, and once you have a car that feels the goods, set your qualifying time.
Then Monday night join the race session and grid up on famous race tracks all around the world like Sebring International and Infineon Raceway in the US, Silverstone and Brands Hatch in the UK, Okayama International and Suzuka in Japan and of course Australia’s own legendary Phillip Island.
Results and championship points are posted here on the Official V8 Supercars website.
