Last week, iRacing deployed one of its most anticipated quarterly builds. The 2026 Season 1 Update brings a massive haul of new content, critical updates, and significant quality-of-life improvements.
Now, Greg Hill, Senior VP and Executive Producer at iRacing, shared a new Dev Update video, in which he takes us on a tour, checking out all the new features and content of the build.
This new release features two thrilling new vehicles that appeal to both dirt enthusiasts and circuit racers, in the form of the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992.2) and the (Free) FIA Cross Car. Furthermore, the long-awaited Hybrid System for the Dallara IR-18 (IndyCar) has been fully implemented, and the visuals of the IndyCar racers have been updated. The Toyota GR86 received a physics and systems update, and the aerodynamic model for the NASCAR Truck Series has been revised.
iRacing also added two new venues to the track portfolio. From the glamour of North America to the harsh streets of Australia, the track list is expanded with the Adelaide Street Circuit and the Miami International Autodrome.
Alongside the new track content, the development team refreshed and re-scanned a number of older tracks. The Rockingham Speedway Oval underwent a thorough, contemporary re-scan to bring the historic venue into compliance with modern graphic standards. The track is now AI-enabled in addition to being a free add-on for current owners.
Although it wasn’t a rescan, Mount Panorama (Bathurst) underwent a significant artistic makeover. iRacing’s most recent graphical processes have been used to recreate the entire environment, guaranteeing that the famous Australian circuit appears better than before.
Last but not least, the newly added off-road layout of the Lucas Oil Speedway Dirt Road is ideal for both the current short-course trucks and the new FIA Cross Car.
