iRacing has announced that the BMW M4 GT3 for iRacing will be released with an Early Release label in the weeks after the 2021 Season 1 build.

This means that the virtual BMW M4 GT3 will be made available to iRacing members as an “in-development” car, that during the coming months will receive a comprehensive set of updates to match its final real-world form. The new BMW M4 GT3 will make its real-world racing debut in 2021, and will be featured in iRacing’s corresponding official series and special events.

The iRacing model of the M4 GT3 is developed in partnership with BMW Motorsport who provided iRacing with over 70 GB of data. BMW Motorsport stated that they are using the same set of data to operate its official BMW Motorsport simulator.

With the BMW M4 GT3, a new top-of-the-range model joins the Customer Racing range at BMW M Motorsport. The BMW M4 GT3 will succeed the BMW M6 GT3. As of the 2022 season, private drivers and teams from all over the world will have the opportunity to challenge for victories and titles in the top car in the Customer Racing range, which is based on the next generation of BMW M4.

The BMW M4 GT3 is being developed alongside the road car and is powered by a modified version of the S58 twin-turbo straight-six engine that delivers 500 bhp / 373 kW.
