iRacing – HotLaps Ep. 15: Chicagoland Speedway.

The officially sanctioned 2013 NASCAR iRacing.com Series World Championship travels to Chicagoland Speedway for round 15.
Just like the real world NASCAR Sprint Cup series, 40 iRacing.com pro sim racers will have to overcome many obstacles to get to the finish line!

Chicagoland is one of the fastest racetracks in the NASCAR iRacing.com Series and is notoriously bumpy. Racing the proper line is critical and placing your car properly in each corner is essential. Losing concentration for just a moment behind the wheel can cost you the race, especially if you scrape the wall or have contact with another driver.

Chicagoland Speedway is a 1.5 miles (2.4 km) tri-oval speedway in Joliet, Illinois, USA, southwest of Chicago. The speedway opened in 2001 and currently hosts NASCAR racing including the opening event in the Chase for the Sprint Cup. Until 2011, the speedway also hosted the IZOD IndyCar Series, recording numerous close finishes including the closest finish in IndyCar history. The speedway is owned and operated by International Speedway Corporation and located adjacent to Route 66 Raceway.
