iRacing – Super Late Model Updates Coming In 2021 Season Two

iRacing Super Late Model Updates

The iRacing 2021 Season 2 build is almost upon us, and that usually means that there is new content on the horizon. After sharing the first screenshots of the upcoming Bark River International Raceway track, the iRacing staff is back with yet another preview.

Alongside the upcoming new build, iRacing will release an updated version of the Super Late Model. Besides an overall refresh and upgrade, the car now features a bodywork update reflecting the Next-Gen cars that have gradually been introduced to the series. The update is free of charge for all iRacing members who currently own the car.

The Super Late Model ranks among the fastest race cars to ever hit the short track. The 358 cubic inch V8 pumps-out more than 550 horsepower, but that’s just for starters.

Weighing in at 2800lbs and featuring a fully adjustable rear suspension, and the offset weight distribution of a straight rail chassis, the Super Late Model is a cross between a Tour Modified and a NASCAR XFINITY Series car. Considering the huge amounts of downforce generated by its body and underbody, the Super Late Model is capable of generating higher cornering speeds in some corners than a NASCAR Cup Series stock car.
