iRacing Vs Real Life – The Imola Circuit

Yesterday iRacing released the 2016 season 3 Build for its online racing simulator.  One of the main attractions of the new build was the new laser scanned Italian Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari (Imola) track.

In order to find out how accurate the newest iRacing track really is, DigiProst compares the video footage of a real-world lap at Imola with the virtual version of the circuit. It should not come as a surprise that the iRacing version of the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari track is one of the best yet. If you disagree, just let us know in the comment section.

The Italian Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari venue hosted the Formula One San Marino Grand Prix. Sadly enough the track is most remembered for the fatal accidents of Formula One drivers Ayrton Senna and Roland Ratzenberger during the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix. The Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari circuit is one of the few major international circuits to run in an anti-clockwise direction. The track is 4.933 km (3.065 mi) long and features 23 turns.
