Its Time For The Official 2020 Virtual 24 Hours of Le Mans

It is time for what is called the biggest sim racing event of all-time in association with the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC), and the Automobile Club de l’Ouest (ACO).

Today at 12.30 UTC/15:00 CET, we can enjoy the first-ever Official 24 Hours of Le Mans Virtual which brings together the world’s best professional racing drivers and sim racers, competing together for 24 hours in a 50-car field on the legendary French endurance track using the on the rFactor 2 racing simulation platform by Studio 397.

More than 200 competitors of which 115 are in fact, licensed real-world racing drivers will battle it out in both an LMP and GTE racing class to get their respective teams to the virtual finish line. 30 LMP teams will be using rFactor2’s ORECA 07, Gibson, while the 20 teams’ strong GTE field is represented by the Aston Martin Vantage, Corvette C.7R, Ferrari 488 GTE, and Porsche 911 RSR.  (You can check out the detailed spotter’s guide below.)
