Nacon Announces WRC 9 – WRC 10 – WRC 11

NACON which is a part of the BIGBEN Group and French video game developer Kylotonn / KT Racing have announced WRC 9, the official video game of the FIA World Rally Championship.

The upcoming WRC 9 title will become available on September 3rd for the PC, Xbox One and PS4 platforms. Release dates for the Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch will be announced at the appropriate time.

WRC 9 will introduce multiple improvements and new features that will excite rally gaming enthusiasts. Kylotonn promises an even more realistic game experience, an enhanced and more challenging Career mode, enhanced gameplay mechanics, new opportunities to upgrade your team, and a wider variety of events and a stronger link to what the real-world championship teams are doing throughout the year.

WRC 9 again includes extensive content with three new events added to the calendar: the return of Kenya’s iconic Safari Rally, Rally Japan and its challenging narrow asphalt roads, the beautiful scenery of Rally New Zealand and two other rallies with completely redesigned environments.

In all, WRC 9 will feature over 50 official rally teams from the WRC, WRC 2, WRC 3 and Junior WRC classes, including all the liveries. You can also expect more than 15 bonus cars that have left their mark on the history of the WRC championship.

The developer has again focused on the realism of car physics, including suspensions, braking, and mass transfer to take authenticity to the next level. This attention to detail faithfully reproduces the vehicles’ responsiveness on all surfaces and in all conditions found in the real championship. A special focus on sound also provides deeper immersion.

Furthermore, NACON and KT Racing also confirmed that their licensing agreement with the WRC Promoter is extended until 2022 which enables them to also develop and publish a WRC 10 and WRC 11 title.
