NASCAR 21: Ignition – Gameplay Preview – Texas Motor Speedway

Motorsport Games Inc published a new early gameplay preview video showcasing the development progress of the NASCAR 21: Ignition title.

The video shows us in-game footage of the No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota Camry of Kyle Busch at the Texas Motor Speedway.

Back in May, the American Publisher and eSports ecosystem provider Motorsport Games Inc. acquired Studio 397 and with it the rFactor 2 racing simulator. Alongside the takeover, the company announced an upcoming reboot of the NASCAR video game franchise, due for release later in 2021.

NASCAR 21: Ignition, developed and published by Motorsport Games, redefines the official video game of the world’s most popular stock car racing series. The simulation is powered by Unreal Engine and Studio 397’s highly-acclaimed rFactor physics engine, giving users a more authentic driving experience, immersive gameplay, dynamic AI, and stunning visuals.

The game is complete with official drivers, teams, and tracks from the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series, including broadcast quality pre-race build-up and post-race replays. All broadcast voice-over work will be provided by MRN Radio, the Voice of NASCAR. Drivers have been face-scanned into the game to provide their realistic representations, with heightened attention to detail regarding tracks, grandstands, and pit experiences.

The handling of the car is a direct representation of how it feels to drive one of these incredible machines, complete with updated track-specific aero/horsepower packages that represent the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series schedule. This puts you in the heat of the action as the green flag drops, while a full suite of driver assists make the game accessible to new racers.

This newest installment in the officially licensed NASCAR gaming franchise will launch on October 28, 2021, on Sony PlayStation 4, Microsoft Xbox One, and PC through the Steam store.

The game is currently available for pre-order. NASCAR 21: Ignition will have a free upgrade path for the Sony PlayStation 5 and Microsoft Xbox Series X/S post-launch, with free downloadable upgrades available for other users as well.
