Official Gran Turismo Sport 4K Trailer

Sony and Polyphony Digital have released a brand-new two-minute trailer showing us footage of their upcoming Gran Turismo Sport title in glorious 4K.

This latest trailer movie for the upcoming Gran Turismo Sport title was released at the PlayStation Experience 2016 held in Anaheim, California. The aim of the trailer is to showcase the new photorealistic graphics optimized for the PS4 Pro making use of HDR, Virtual Reality, and wide color features.

Besides some new content, the video also reveals some impressive lighting effects and the much talked about VR driving mode. On a standard 1080p TV or Monitor, GT Sport will render at 60fps, while 4K displays will have to do with 30fps, meaning you may decide to  run 1080P on a 4K screen.

Polyphony Digital states: This movie has been optimized for viewing on HDR compatible hardware. You will be able to enjoy the true wide dynamic range and rich colors enabled if you view this on HDR compatible devices.

The  Gran Turismo Sport title for the PlayStation 4 was initially planned to be released this November but was later on postponed to early 2017 in order to bring the title up to the required quality specs. We will keep you posted when more coverage from the PlayStation Experience 2016 surfaces.

Gran Turismo Sport will be a new iteration of the world-renown racing simulation franchise. The game is currently in development as a VR-compatible racing game and will be the first console racing title to feature online competitions sanctioned by the FIA (Federation International Automobile). The game will feature +-140 premium cars and 19 locations featuring 27 layouts.
