Straight4 has released the PMR Test Centre for Project Motor Racing for the PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
The fictional PMR Test Centre playground was originally built as an internal development space for Project Motor Racing, enabling the development team to test different surface materials, fine-tune force feedback, refine gamepad rumble, and better understand how each car behaved across changing grip levels.
The PMR Test Centre is now available as a free 762.54Mb download via the ModHub. Besides using it as a proving ground, the track can also be used when setting up a Race Weekend in Single Player or a Custom Lobby in Multiplayer. It features six different layouts to race, test, slide, experiment, and create.
Layouts:
- Racing Layout: designed as a complete circuit with the expected trackside details and flow.
- Big Loop: built for high-speed running and oval-style testing.
- Small Loop: for shorter sessions.
- Small Needle Skidpad: for sliding, drifting, and experimenting.
- Big Needle Route: combining a more traditional racing layout with a large oval-style banking section.
- Playground: an open area where, with penalties turned off, you can drive freely across the complex, including the original surface test strips that started the whole thing.
