Project Motor Racing – Update V2.1 & Aussie Rivals Pack Free DLC Available

Project Motor Racing

Developer Straight4 Studios and publisher GIANTS Software have released Update 2.1 for Project Motor Racing, accompanied by a very interesting Australia-themed free content drop.

The Aussie Rivals Pack is available as a free DLC on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The DLC is bringing the famous, hard-fought Ford vs. Holden rivalry to life. The pack contains two cars:

  • 2013 Holden Commodore VF: The legendary Lion brand’s iconic V8 touring car contender, built for raw power and sharp turns.
  • 2013 Ford Falcon FG (Reworked): The Commodore’s ultimate arch-rival, completely overhauled for this update to deliver aggressive, tail-happy rear-wheel-drive dynamics.

The AUS V8 class also received a complete handling and tyre overhaul and updates to aero sensitivity, inertia, centre of gravity, brake ducts, brake heat behaviour, and new default setups.

Alongside the free new content, Straight4 deployed a major quality-of-life and physics update for Project Motor Racing. Here are some of the highlights.

  • GT3 & GT4 Ground-Up Overhaul: Led by Chief Competition Officer Aris Vasilakos, GT3 and GT4 classes have been completely rebuilt using fresh manufacturer data and new tire simulation models.
  • Better Online Racing: Join-in-progress capabilities and ranked notification alerts make jumping into public or private lobbies far smoother.
  • Hardware & Immersion Upgrades: Official Logitech Trueforce support has been enabled across all platforms, alongside an alpha release of triple-screen support for PC sim rigs.
