R3E Big Patch info + new content coming

SimBin announced that the big patch for RaceRoom Racing Experience is almost ready to be released. If all goes well, the patch will be distributed next week, June 19.

The R3E development team revealed the full changelog, and also shared some details about the next patch in the works. SimBin has ended the testing phase for the Multo-Player Alpha last Thursday, and thanks everyone who has helped testing and provided valuable feedback. Furthermore, the dev team lets us know that the temporary R3E menu is shaping up nicely and that they are now working on the R3E Single Race components.

As you can see in the changelog, this patch will be including a lot of updated and new content. With this patch Simbin is also finalizing the corner marker updates as they are updating all the DTM tracks.

In the Art department, they must have felt the Le-Mans 24 vibe. We get to see previews of two cars in the works for RaveRoom Racing Experience. The in 1990 Lola built Nissan R90CK was an evolution of the Nissan R89C Group C car. Two cars were entered in the World Championship and a third served as a test car. The car also competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The Nissan R90CK was powered by a mid mounted 3.496 liter V8 engine, aspirated by a Twin IHI Turbo. The car delivered 800 bhp / 597 KW @ 7600 rpm and transmitted its power to the rear wheels by means of a Hewland VGC 5 speed Manual gearbox.

The SimBin art crew also shows us a preview render of the Audi R18. This Le Mans Prototype (LMP) car was the successor to the Audi R15 TDI. The R18 uses a TDI turbocharged diesel engine with a 3.7 litres V6 configuration. The R18 was the first racing car from Audi to feature hybrid power.
