Rennsport – Touring Classics Part 1 Released

Rennsport

Competition Company recently released the Touring Classics Part 1 DLC for the Rennsport simulator on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.

The Touring Classics Part 1 DLC focuses on the era of 1990s German touring car racing, bringing us a selection of legendary touring cars and a historic version of the famed German Hockenheim track.

The PC version of the Rennsport Touring Classics Part 1 DLC is available on Steam for 14,99€

Included Cars:

  • Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.5-16 Evo II: The “Cosworth.” It’s an exercise in flared aggression and mechanical feedback. If you can’t feel the grip through the wheel, you aren’t pushing hard enough.
  • BMW E30 M3: The icon. The S14 engine is a scalpel, and the chassis balance is the industry gold standard. It is nimble, communicative, and will punish you if you get greedy.
  • Alfa Romeo 155 V6 TI: An Italian anomaly. With an advanced all-wheel-drive system and a ferocious V6, this car doesn’t turn—it claws. You have to commit early and let the mechanical grip pull you through the chaos.
  • Mercedes-Benz C-Class V6 DTM: A technological brute. With a high-revving V6 and aero that sticks the car to the asphalt, this was the pinnacle of mid-90s excess.

Alongside the car content, the update introduces the Hockenheimring “Classic Revival” track, which is a digital reconstruction of the legendary, pre-2002 forest layout of the Hockenheimring. The real-world track was heavily modified and shortened due to safety constraints, but this version brings back the insanely long, ultra-fast, and blind straights through the woods, blended seamlessly with RENNSPORT’s modern infrastructure. It should be stated that this isn’t an exact replica of the original.

Furthermore, this update also brings a number of new liveries to the platform:

  • 20 bespoke Touring Classics-inspired liveries across our four new touring cars, completely free for all owners of this DLC.
  • 348 unique RENNSPORT Cup liveries across 29 different vehicles, available for 50 RENN$ each.
  • 8 exclusive Hall of Fame liveries for our GT3 fleet, reserved for the elite few who prove their mettle by winning the official RENNSPORT leagues and events.

Alongside the paid DLC, a massive free base-game update rolled out to all players, adding the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport and the Mercedes 190E HWA EVO.R, which is a track-only, ultra-exclusive restomod by HWA AG engineering. Based on their road-legal HWA EVO, the EVO.R is a thinly disguised endurance race car closely tied to their Nürburgring 24 Hours racing. Furthermore, all players can access Thermalito, a technical, flow-heavy playground originally built as a community mod by DDF Racer and polished for official release by developer Nukedrop.

Additionally, the update fixed several system-level menu and penalty crashes, optimized multi-class grid spacing for tracks like Sebring, and ironed out garage UI filtering quirks.
