Originally founded in 2014 at the legendary Nürburgring in Germany, the Sim Racing Expo has made its North American debut.
From Memorial Day Weekend, May 22 to May 24, 2026, the Charlotte Convention Center hosted a selection of interesting exhibitors from the world of sim racing. Across more than 100,000 square feet of exhibition floor space, many established brands showcased a variety of new sim racing related hardware and software, alongside some exciting community events.
Visitors of the event had the opportunity to attend product demonstrations and test high-end direct-drive wheelbases, load-cell and industrial-grade pneumatic pedals, VR headsets (including Pimax models), and full-motion simulator rigs from industry names such as Asetek Racing, Fanatec, Simucube, DOF Reality, and SimRacing Pro (SRP), to name a few. Racing Simulation developers such as iRacing, Kunos Simulazioni, and Rennsport were offering live demos, competitive “Hot Lap” challenges, and providing the event visitors with detailed info and support regarding their products.
The main stage hosted over 20 hours of live entertainment, expert panels, and show races, and welcomed some famous names from the Sim and Real racing world. Furthermore, visitors can discover legendary race cars up close, meet real-world racing drivers and teams, and connect with top SimRacing content creators and the global community.
The organizers strategically timed the expo to run parallel to the legendary NASCAR Coca-Cola 600 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. A premium, limited-tier “Golden Ticket” was offered to tie the whole weekend together, granting attendees full 3-day floor access to the expo, entry to the neighboring NASCAR Hall of Fame, and Turn 4 seating for the race on Sunday night.
