The DiRT Rally 2.0 Dev Insight Series Part 1 – Meet The Devs

Codemasters published the first video of a series taking us behind the scenes of the DiRT Rally 2.0 development. In part one, we meet DiRT Rally 2.0 Chief Game Designer Ross Gowing and real-world rally driver / Codemasters rally consultant Jon Armstrong.

Ever since we started working on DiRT Rally 2.0, we were very clear in what we wanted to achieve and how we wanted to achieve it. Our new dev insight series is all about lifting the lid on how we’ve gone about making DiRT Rally 2.0 and will give you insight into some of the improvements we’ve made from the original DiRT Rally – and more importantly, how that will play out when you’re out on a rally stage or an RX track.

This first episode covers two vital components for DiRT Rally 2.0 – the team behind it, and what we’re trying to achieve with DiRT Rally 2.0. Our subsequent episodes will cover all sorts of exciting things like surface degradation, tyre choice, our new locations, handling, and loads more – so stay tuned to all of the usual channels for these sneak peeks behind the scenes of DiRT.

DiRT Rally 2.0 will take you to six rally locations around the world where you can take on incredible hand-crafted stages in a wide variety of cars from the history of the sport and modern day. As the official game of the FIA World Rallycross Championship presented by Monster Energy, DiRT Rally 2.0 will also feature cars from the 2018 season as well as eight of the official WorldRX circuits at launch.

Deluxe Edition players will be able to gain access to the game four days earlier on February 22, 2019. The preorder DiRT Rally 2.0 is already available on the Steam network for 54,99€, while the pre-order DiRT Rally 2.0 Deluxe Edition can be purchased for 74,99€.
