WRC 7 – Porsche 911 GT3 RS Pre-order Bonus Car Revealed

The end of the dreaded exclusive Electronic Arts agreement with Porsche AG did not miss its effect. While we expected the German brand to pop up in titles such as iRacing, Project CARS, Assetto Corsa, RaceRoom and similar, a Porsche appearance in a rally game was quite a surprise.

Bigben Interactive and the French Kylotonn Games Studio have revealed the Porsche 911 GT3 RS as a DLC bonus car for WRC 7 – The official game of the FIA World Rally Championship. Players who Pre-order the upcoming rally title will be able to drive the Porsche 911 GT3 RS as driven by Romain Dumas in this year’s FIA R-GT Cup.

French racing driver and current FIA R-GT Cup leader Romain Dumas said: It is a great honor for me and for the team to be represented for the first time in an official WRC video game. We were the first to certify the 911 GT3 RS 4.0l for the RGT Coupe and I am proud to participate in the return of the Grand Touring cars to the highest level of the rally.

The Porsche obviously differs from other cars engaged in the WRC. For the public, it brings diversity, another form of elegance and a dream part I think. For me, behind the wheel, it is synonymous with real challenge. It is a symbol of passion and an additional experience offered to fans of the World Rally Championship.

An exact release date has yet to be announced, but Kylotonn Games already hinted they are planning a global release in September.

WRC 7 will feature all the cars and drivers of the 2017 World Rally Championship season including the new Toyota Yaris, Citroën C3, Hyundai i20 and a Ford Fiesta. The junior-WRC class will feature the Ford Fiesta R2. You will be able to race all the featured rally cars at rally stages situated in the 13 countries of the official 2017 WRC calendar.

While the game will most certainly improve most features of its predecessor, there is also some bad news. Kylotonn Games already stated that there are no plans to add VR support to WRC 7. However, they did confirm that the console versions of WRC 7 will take advantage of the PS4 Pro and Scorpio power.

WRC 7, the official video game of the 2017 FIA World Rally Championship (WRC), is coming Autumn 2017 on PlayStation4, Xbox One, and PC Steam.
