French video game developer Kylotonn/KT Racing has released the Rally Star DLC for WRC9 the official video game of the FIA World Rally Championship.
The new DLC features a brand-new competitive mode that will be used as a tool for the Rally Star program in which the FIA (Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile) hopes to discover the WRC’s stars of tomorrow.
The Rally Star program will help a selection of talented youngsters start their rally career by funding their drives in the WRC’s support categories.
The competition is open to all WRC 9 players between 17 and 26 years old and will give the most promising drivers the opportunity to take part in a training and coaching program based on the French Federation’s Rallye Jeunes program supervised by the FIA. Seven finalists, including one female driver, could ultimately start their international career before aiming to join the FIA Junior WRC.
From February to August 2021, 12 online trials will be held to select the most promising drivers in WRC 9. This first phase of the competition will be open to drivers from 17 to 26 years of age and will be played exclusively with the new M-Sport Ford Fiesta Rally3. The winners of each of the 12 trials will qualify for one of the six continental finals.
At the end of the finals, the 7 best drivers, including at least one woman, will be enrolled in an exclusive FIA training and practice program. For the best of them, the adventure will continue with 2 seasons in the FIA Junior WRC!

The new level of realism in WRC 9 gives us the opportunity to propose this challenge to all of the sport’s fans around the world, said Jérôme Roussel, FIA program manager. The next Sébastien Loeb, Ott Tänak, or Sébastien Ogier may well already be practicing on their console or PC! We just need to find them!
The PC version of the WRC 9 game is available as a Digital Standard Edition, Digital Deluxe Edition, and a Physical Standard Edition. The digital edition is available via the Epic Game Store for €49.99. The Digital Deluxe Edition is available for €59.99.
