The Chinese Conspit Racing company offers some high-end, yet affordable Sim Racing Pedal Sets focusing on professional-grade hardware and deeper mechanical customization.
The hydraulic Conspit CPP EVO 2 (Throttle & Brake) and CPP EVO 3 (Throttle, Brake & Clutch) pedal sets sit above the “Lite” series in Conspit’s lineup, and are designed for maximum realism and precision. While the Lite version is more affordable and uses a simplified hydraulic design, the EVO 2 and EVO 3 products offer a more robust controller and higher-pressure sensor range, alongside upgraded steel pistons, replacing the aluminum units and dual-step seals rated for 500,000+ cycles. The pedals also feature additional physical points of adjustment for the pivot and throw.
The CPP Evo 2 and Evo 3 pedals are built out of CNC-Machined 6061-T6 Aluminum and have a fine sandblasted and anodized finish that provides a durable and robust coating.
Both pedal sets feature a 2nd-Gen brake pedal that is fitted with a Dual-Phase Hydraulic system that can resist a Max Pressure of 200kg of force, measured by a 20Mpa High-precision Hydraulic Sensor.
Unlike many pedals that use a simple hydraulic damper, the EVO 2 uses a dual-stage cylinder design. This system simulates the initial “gap” or light travel when the pads first touch the disc, yet provides the rock-solid, progressive resistance of a pressurized hydraulic system. You can independently adjust the preload for both the initial and final stages, allowing you to mimic anything from a soft GT3 feel to a concrete-stiff Formula 1 brake.
In comparison to its predecessors, the aluminum piston has been upgraded to a chrome-plated 45-steel piston. The chrome plating enhances surface hardness and wear resistance, minimizes deformation over time, and reduces friction for a more refined brake feel and longer service life. Sealing System Redesign The polyurethane seal has been replaced with a dual Step-Sealstructure. The combination of an elastic O-ring and PTFE sliding ring provides excellent sealing performance up to 400 bar. Compared to the single-seal design, wear resistance is improved, and friction is reduced by ≈ 50%, allowing smoother pedal return and better modulation during trail braking.
A newly refined spring + elastomer system offers broader customization compared to CPP EVO V1, adapting to a wider range of driving styles. With the highly linear stiffness characteristics of die springs, the CPP EVO’s dual-stage hydraulic feel is further enhanced, creating a clear contrast to the progressive compression of elastomers and allowing users to fine-tune pedal feedback through interchangeable setups.
The pedal angle, height, spacing, and multi-stage preload are all adjustable.
- Throttle: Four levels of quick, step-wise adjustment for pedal force, with decoupled control for pedal travel and spring preload.
- Brake: Four levels of quick, step-wise adjustment for pedal force, with independent preload adjustment for the front and rear stages.
- Clutch: Adjustable spring preload with four levels of bite point feel adjustment.
Furthermore, the pedals feature integrated M-DVF Haptic Motors for extra immersion. Conspit continued to work closely with SimHub on product development. The CPP EVO rumble module supports SimHub Shakelt Motors, offering comprehensive customization options for various conditions from within SimHub.
The CPP EVO can be mounted directly onto aluminum profile rigs or other sim-racing rigs using the mounting holes at the bottom.
The pedal set is connected to a PC via a single USB cable, but can also be integrated through the port at the rear of the onspit Ares series wheelbases, offering a more convenient and seamless sim racing ecosystem. Quick settings can be configured in the Conspit Link 2.0 driver software, which also offers practical features such as a customizable mapping curve and brake input limits.
