Qubic Systems – QS-BT1 Belt Tensioner Review By GamerMuscle

Qubic Systems - QS-BT1 Belt Tensioner

Since 2009, the Polish Motion System company has designed, developed, built, and assembled a variety of modular, durable, and high-performing motion technology solutions for the professional market. Back in May 2021, Motion Systems introduced the Qubic System sub-brand, aiming to bring the experience and product quality of the Motion Systems company to the demanding sim racing enthusiast.

In late December 2023, Qubic System revealed its QS-BT1 Dual-Channel, Direct-Drive Belt Tensioner. The product officially launched in Q3 2024.

The QS-BT1 is a direct-drive, dual-channel belt tensioner. Each belt is driven independently, which is what makes the asymmetric cues he describes possible: sustained load through a corner on one side, slip texture on the other, both scaled to telemetry rather than fired as canned effects.

The software side is Qubic Manager, the same application that runs our seat movers and motion platforms. It detects installed titles, loads the right profile when you launch from Steam, switches profiles per vehicle, and includes a diagnostics view for testing each channel during setup, without going into a game. The Qubic Manager is updated on a regular basis, improving the system based on user feedback.

Our favourite Sim Racing YouTuber, GamerMuscle, has tested the Qubic System BT1 Belt Tensioner for over 600hours across racing and flight simulators. Check out the 43-minute product review, and find out why belt tensioners are so much fun, who would likely get the most out of this, and where the Qubic System BT1 fits into the Simracing Hardware landscape.
