Ascher Racing 8-inch Sim Racing Dashboard

After already having released a 4-inch or 5-inch telemetry dashboard, German engineer and avid sim racer Martin Ascher has now started shipping the new 8-inch Sim Racing dashboard.

The (7.85″) 16-bit color Touch Display features 350 lumens, a 1.200×400 resolution, and a 60 Hz refresh rate. The capacitive multi-touch (2-point) screen can be operated without removing your racing gloves.

Alongside the actual touch-screen, the CNC-milled and anodized aluminum housing also features a shift light array, consisting of 16 RGB LEDs with 16 million colors, and 10x RGB LEDs that can be used as flag LEDs (5x16x5 configuration).

The rear of the housing features a physical ON-OFF pushbutton and a high-bandwidth USB-C port for a reliable power and data connection. To make the unit as compact as possible, an angled USB-C cable is included with the screen.

The dashboard comes with official SimHub integration, and Ascher Racing’s collaboration with Lovely Sim Racing offers many neat features for the DDU.

The Dashboard includes two carbon mounting brackets and a ¼” mount on the back of the housing, in order to be able to mount the dashboard on a wide range of wheelbases.
