The Chinese Conspit Racing company has announced that the new CONSPIT 280FR wheel will become available soon.
No details have been released yet, but CONSPIT says the 280FR is a compact racing wheel that draws heavily from Formula-style open-wheel ergonomics, but is specifically designed to bridge the gap between Formula and GT racing. The 280FR is expected to be priced as a mid-range wheel rim.
As the name suggests, the wheel will most likely have a diameter of 280mm. The included previews show us ergonomic rubberized grips and a carbon fiber frontplate that houses four Large Rotary Encoders, arranged in a quad layout, surrounded by multi-segmented LED rings.
The center of the wheel features a Central Multi-Position Switch. Furthermore, the wheel has twelve backlit push buttons, two directional joysticks (funky switches), and four Thumb Wheels. The top of the wheelplate houses a prominent strip of 10 LED shift-lights to monitor engine RPMs and shift timing.
On the rear of the wheel, we can see magnetic shifter paddles and carbon fiber lower clutch paddles.
CONSPIT has kept the exact specs, pricing, and the final reveal under wraps for a formal announcement. I will keep you posted when more details are shared.
