F1 2016 Supported wheel list Revealed

As Codemasters are getting ready to release their F1 2016 title for the PC and consoles, they now released the supported wheel list for the game.

Below you find the full list of compatible wheels and controllers for the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Codemasters made clear that due to licensing issues, the Fanatec wheels do not appear on the supported wheel list of the PS4 console. However, Codemasters is hoping that Sony and Fanatec will find a solution for this less than ideal situation.

Incidentally, Codemasters also specifically point out that controllers which are not on the official supported wheel list should work fine, as long as a custom control scheme is created.

The latest installment of the official video game of the 2016 FIA Formula One World Championship will continue where its predecessor left off. The new F1 game is built around a brand new career mode that will be spanning 10 racing seasons. Its multiplayer support will accommodate up to 22 drivers.

The 2016 iteration of the game will also introduce the return of the Safety Car and scratch-build Virtual Safety Car system, and a Formation Lap. The level of immersion has been further enhanced by the inclusion of manual starts and manual pit lane entry and braking. Furthermore, it the title will feature the Baku, Azerbaijan street circuit which hosts the 2016 Formula One Grand Prix of Europe.

F1 2016 will become available on August 19 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC. (DVD and via Steam) It is already available for pre-order at Amazon UK, Steam, Playstation, and formula1-game.com

There will also be an F1 2016 Limited Edition includes the ‘Career Booster’ DLC pack, which will give you a head start in your career, as well as exclusive Career Helmet and Laptop designs.
