Fanatec – CSL Steering Wheel GT3 Released

Sim Racing Peripheral manufacturer Fanatec has released a new officially licensed budget steering wheel for Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One in the form of the CSL Steering Wheel GT3. The wheel is also PlayStation-ready and can be used on the PC.

While considered an entry-level product, this 300 mm diameter GT wheel offers premium features, including a 1”, 128 x 64 resolution OLED display, magnetic shifters, and analog Clutch paddles with a Clutch bite-point mode, handbrake mode, brake/throttle mode, and mappable axis mode. All these features are instantly available via the center switch. The Brake/Throttle mode allows driving without pedals.

Furthermore, the wheel features Toggle and rotary switches, laser-engraved Pit and Neutral buttons with high bezels and snap-dome switches with realistic resistance, FunkySwitch (seven functions), and seven additional buttons with exchangeable button caps.

The wheel rim comes with a QR2 Lite Wheel-Side preinstalled. It’s compatible with the CSL DD Gran Turismo DD Pro Wheel Base, ClubSport DD, ClubSport DD+, Podium Wheel Base DD1, Podium Wheel Base DD1 PS4™, and the Podium Wheel Base DD2.

Special Notes:

1. This wheel allows High Torque Mode on ClubSport DD / DD+ and Podium DD1 / DD2 bases with the preinstalled QR2 Lite Wheel-Side.
2. While most button inputs (including paddle shifters) are generally compatible across all games and platforms, certain advanced features may be unavailable, as their functionality relies on game developers integrating support for the Fanatec SDK.
3. It is possible to install a QR1 Wheel-Side for use on Direct Drive Bases with QR1. However, it is recommended to upgrade your QR1 Direct Drive Base to QR2 for better performance with this wheel.
