Forza Horizon 6 is scheduled to launch on May 19, 2026, for Xbox Series X|S and PC, with a PlayStation 5 release expected later in the year. So let’s check out the first official Gameplay video of the Japanese car culture racer by British studio Playground Games.
Drive over 550 real-world cars, including some much-loved and fan-favorite JDM classics, featuring cutting-edge engine audio and updated steering animations with up to 540 degrees of wheel rotation. Drive at some fantastic Japanese locations from neon-lit city streets to serene cherry blossom paths and rugged mountain terrains, including world-famous routes inspired by the C1 loop and Gingko Avenue, as well as mountain passes, such as Mt. Haruna and Bandai Azuma.
The gameplay trailer lets us have a look at the 2024 Nissan GT-R Nismo racing alongside a Shinkansen bullet train, and the massive jumps in a 2021 RJ Anderson Polaris RZR Pro 4 Truck situated in the snow-capped Alps. Furthermore, the video shows us a Japanese Touge mountain pass race featuring the 1995 Porsche 911 GT2, and to finish the promo video, we can preview the 2025 Toyota GR GT Prototype.
The game is built using Turn 10’s in-house ForzaTech engine and is the first in the series developed exclusively for ninth-generation consoles. The promo demo is running in “Quality Mode” (4K at 30 FPS), with a 60 FPS “Performance Mode” coming to the full release version.
Forza Horizon 6 will be available on May 19, 2026, for €69,99. Those who purchased the Premium Edition (€119,99) will be able to get behind the wheel 4 days early on May 15. Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to the full release.
