iRacing  – A Lap Around The Rescanned Silverstone Circuit

A week ago, iRacing.com announced the upcoming rescanned modern version of the British Silverstone circuit, which will be available in June.

The new track will be up for purchase for $14.95. Whoever purchased the existing ( older) Silverstone track in the last 24 months (as of the build date) will receive a credit of $14.95. The existing Silverstone will be made a free track and granted to everyone.

After showing us the first teaser video, iRacing now published an in-game video showing us a full lap at the re-scanned version of the track.


The Silverstone circuit is a famous racing track situated near Northamptonshire villages of Silverstone and Whittlebury in England. Silverstone is the current home of the British Formula One Grand Prix.

The track is 5.891 km (3.660 mi) long and features 18 turns while the National configuration is only 2.638 km (1.639 mi) long and features 6 turns. Besides the Formula One GP, The Blancpain Endurance Series, and various international racing series, Silverstone also hosts many club racing series and the world’s largest historic race meeting, the Silverstone Classic.
