Live For Speed Oculus Rift DK2 First impressions (GamerMuscle)

In July GamerMuscle posted an interesting video questioning if the Live for Speed Simulator was still alive after a few slow years of development. The Live for Speed developers released a Patch to support the Oculus rift DK2, so GamerMuscle took his test one step further using his DK2 ( Development Kit) Virtual Reality goggles. Download the LFS DK2 patch here.

GamerMuscle call’s this the most spectacular demonstration of the Oculus Rift DK2 up until now. While Live for Speed certainly looks good, it does not have the most polished graphics. However, GamerMuscle states that the immersion factor when using the Rift makes all the difference.  Just have a look at the video, and witness his reactions. Sometimes a video says a thousand words.

Those of you who have been Sim Racing for a few years will undoubtably be familiar with Live for Speed, or LFS in short. This realistic racing simulator is developed by a small developers team. Scawen Roberts, Eric Bailey, and Victor van Vlaardingen released their first commercial version of LFS on June 24, 2005.
