MECA EVO1 Pedal Set - First Impressions By Laurence Dusoswa

Earlier this year, ALL4SIM who are a sim racing hardware manufacturer from the Czech Republic has introduced the second iteration of its popular Meca Cup1 Pedal set.

Now YouTubing sim racer Laurence Dusoswa invites us to watch his first impressions video, sharing all the details about the MECA EVO1 pedal set.

The new MECA EVO1 pedals are a definite upgrade compared to its predecessor. ALL4SIM has made the units more robust, more reliable, and made them feel even closer to reality. Furthermore, the brake pedal can now be purchased with or without a hydraulic brake mod, feature new in-house electronics, and can be optionally purchased with a new baseplate made of extruded aluminum. The redesigned Meca Control Panel software now includes 9-point curve settings for each pedal and you can save your own setting profiles.

The MECA EVO1 pedals are currently up for preorder. The orders are expected to ship on December 14th, 2022.

Check the official ALL4SIM website for your local pricing.

Throttle Pedal

The Throttle pedal has a stiffness adjustment, including fine adjustment using a preload spring with a round nut. It is possible to purchase a long faceplate for the heel & toe technique. The 20kg load cell sensor with a redesigned power transmission system on the sensor itself ensures precise power transmission. The padel faceplate is high-adjustable and the angle of the pedal can also be adjusted.

Specs:

  • 4mm thick steel with surface treatment
  • Pedal lever bearing mounting
  • Adjustable pedal angle
  • Adjustable position forward/backward, left/right
  • Height-adjustable pedal face plate (glass blasted stainless steel)
  • Possible adjust of the stiffness of the pedal in a round groove
  • Fine tunning of the preload spring with a round nut
  • Optional additional purchase of a long face plate for Heel and Toe
  • 20kg load cell sensor
  • Ball bearing rotation axis housing

Brake Pedal

The new Evo brake pedal continues to use a proven system of cups that protects the polyurethane segments while simulating a pressurized braking system at full braking. It is now possible to set the brake disc gap using the preload spring. The 200kg load cell sensor continues to take care of the power transmission, thanks to which you can brake with a force of up to 136kg. The brake pedal also has a height-adjustable face plate.

In order to get even closer to a real race car pedal, ALL4SIM has developed a hydraulic version of the brake pedal. Therefore, the pedal is equipped with a master cylinder of the Willwood brand and a slave cylinder of its own production. During the development, emphasis was placed on smooth operation, system tightness, and durability. The slave cylinder is equipped with polyurethanes with an unrivaled system of cups, which protect the polyurethanes from overload and at the same time simulate the pressure of the brake system.

Specs:

  • 4mm thick steel with surface treatment
  • Pedal lever bearing mounting
  • Adjustable pedal angle Adjustable position forward/backward, left/right
  • Height-adjustable pedal face plate (Balotin stainless steel)
  • Possible adjust of the stiffness of the pedal in a round groove
  • Fine tunning of the preload spring with a round nut Optional additional purchase of a long faceplate for Heel and Toe
  • 200kg load cell sensor
  • Ball bearing rotation axis housing

Clutch Pedal

The Clutch pedal is equipped with a total of four springs, thanks to which everyone can adjust the stiffness according to their preference. In addition, the stiffness can be adjusted using the groove in the pedal. Load cell sensor ensures accurate power transmission. The pedal face plate can be height-adjusted and you can also set the angle of the pedal.

Specs:

  • 4mm thick steel with surface treatment
  • Adjustable pedal angle Adjustable position forward/backward, left/right
  • Height-adjustable pedal face plate (Balotin stainless steel)
  • Degressive style clutch – simulation of clutch compression in a real car
  • Large variation of settings and fine tuning
  • Equipped with 4 tension springs, can be changed according to the user
  • Springs can be removed – 4 springs (max)- 1 spring (min)
  • Load cell sensor
  • Ball bearing rotation axis housing

Baseplate

The new baseplate is made of extruded aluminum. The entire baseplate forms a very compact and solid base for large load that acts on the individual pedals, especialy the brake pedal – up to 136kg. As a result,, there is no undesirable bend. High variability ensures that everyone finds the perfect position for their races.
