Pro Sim Sequential Shifter Review By Laurence Dusoswa

Laurence Dusoswa presents his detailed review of the high-end Quaife sequential Sim Shifter by Pro-Sim.

In 2016, the UK-based Pro-Sim company introduced the first working prototype of the H-pattern sim shifter developed in partnership with R.T. Quaife Engineering, Ltd which is a British manufacturer of automotive drive-train products for both road-going and racing cars. The final product was released in 2017 and set a benchmark.

Following on the success of the H-pattern sim shifter, Pro-Sim introduced the sequential sim shifter. Again, this product was exclusively developed in partnership with the world renowned gearbox manufacture Quaife Engineering.

Pro-Sim Sequential Shifter

The Pro-Sim sequential sim shifter design features a gear lever that is easier to adjust and to many more positions. The new design of shifter is quieter than the older version 1 Pro-Sim sequential sim shifter and is also more robust. Pro-Sim has also added an adjustable plunger so that you can chose the exact strength of gear change required.

The main advancement on this version is the optional active shifting that uses a hydraulic system and software to only allow gear shifts when the gear is unloaded exactly like on a real car.

This shifter is also a work of art and with the Perspex cover you are able to see the complete mechanism working on every gear change which is something very special.

The Pro-Sim sequential sim shifter fitted with the standard aluminium gear knob is available via the official Pro-Sim Webstore for £895.00 – €1032.00 – $1237.00 + shipping.

Fitted with an optional GT knob, the Pro-Sim sequential sim shifter reaches a price of £970.00 – €1119.00 – $1340 + shipping.

The shifter is available in two different color schemes. Red/Black and Silver/Black.
