Almost on a daily basis, Straight4 is releasing more media and info regarding their upcoming Project Motor Racing title. The latest classic GT introduction showcases the 2004 Lamborghini Murciélago R-GT.
The 2004 Lamborghini Murciélago R-GT is a dedicated racing variant of the road-going Murciélago, developed in a collaboration between Automobili Lamborghini, Reiter Engineering, and Audi Sport. Designed to compete in the GT1 class of championships like the FIA GT Championship and the American Le Mans Series, it featured significant modifications to meet racing regulations and enhance performance.
The R-GT is powered by a 6.0-liter V12 engine, a racing variant of the Murciélago’s production engine. The engine was restricted to comply with regulations, but still produced a highly competitive power output of around 600 bhp.
Unlike the road car’s permanent all-wheel drive, the R-GT was converted to a rear-wheel-drive system to meet FIA/ACO regulations. It utilized a 6-speed sequential gearbox and a Holinger differential for a race-focused setup.
Project Motor Racing will be released on November 25th, 2025, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
The title is available for pre-order via Steam and the Epic Games Store for €59.99 / $59.99 / £49.99.
Console versions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S can be pre-ordered via their respective digital storefronts (PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store) and various retailers.
Pre-ordering comes with a bonus in the form of the “PMR – GTE Decade Pack” DLC.
The Pre-Purchase Project Motor Racing Year 1 Bundle is available for €89,99. It includes the Day 1 Group 5 Revival Pack, an additional 3 Content Packs, plus the Year 1 Expansion Pack.
