Straight4 revealed some more in-game screenshots of content for the forthcoming Project Motor Racing title. Let’s have a look at the 2024 Aston Martin Vantage GT3 and the Australian Mount Panorama (Bathurst) track.
2024 Aston Martin Vantage GT3
The 2024 Aston Martin Vantage GT3 is a dedicated, high-performance race car built to compete in the GT3 category of global motorsports, such as the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC), IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, and various GT World Challenge series.
It is a comprehensive evolution of its successful predecessor and was developed in a collaboration between Aston Martin Racing (AMR) and Aston Martin Performance Technologies (AMPT), leveraging Formula 1 knowledge.
The Aston Martin Vantage GT3 is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine derived from the road legal version of the car, but heavily reworked and subject to Balance of Performance (BoP) regulations for the GT3 class.
While the power output is restricted, it still delivers between 500 and 600 horsepower (depending on BoP), which is less than the road car’s 665 hp. The power is transferred to the rear wheels via a six-speed sequential transmission with paddle shifters and a mechanical, limited-slip differential.
Mount Panorama (Bathurst)
Mount Panorama Circuit, often simply referred to as Bathurst or “The Mountain,” is one of the world’s most iconic and challenging motor racing tracks, located in Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia.
The 6.213 km (3.861 mi) circuit with a 174-meter vertical elevation is made up entirely of public roads that are closed off for racing events.
It is the home of the Bathurst 12 Hour and the world-famous Supercheap Auto 1000 V8 Supercar Race.
