Straight4 posted another car presentation showcasing the Porsche 911 GT3 R (992). No doubt that this modern GT3 racer will become a popular car in the forthcoming Project Motor Racing title.

Based on the 992-generation Porsche 911 GT3 road car, the Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) is the most recent iteration of Porsche’s popular GT3-spec racing vehicles. This single-seater, customer GT racing car was developed for international motorsport competitions in the GT3 category.

The purebred 911 GT3 R (992) is powered by a 4.2-liter water-cooled, naturally aspirated flat-six engine that is derived from the 992-generation road car’s power plant, and then optimized for racing durability and performance. Depending on various Balance of Performance (BoP) regulations, the rear-mounted engine puts out up to 416 kW (565 PS). All that power is transferred to teh rear wheels via a six-speed sequential dog-type gearbox.

From its official start in the 2023 season, the Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) has been praised for being a car that is not only faster but also more durable and easier to drive than its predecessor. This contributed to the fact that the car became a popular choice for customer teams, winning multiple titles and triumphs in a variety of international GT competitions.
