Reiza Studios Secures Renault License For Automobilista 2

Automobilista 2 Renault F1

Reiza Studios has announced a new official licenced partner for Automobilista 2. The French Renault brand will be featured in the popular racing simulator.

We can expect to see several iconic cars from the French manufacturer in-game soon. The next update for AMS 2 will introduce both the Renault R25 and R26. These are two of the most iconic, championship-winning Formula 1 cars of the 2000s.

Driven primarily by Fernando Alonso and Giancarlo Fisichella, they successfully brought down the Ferrari-Michael Schumacher dynasty, capturing back-to-back Drivers’ and Constructors’ World Championships in 2005 and 2006. Prepare to get behind the wheel of the screaming 3.0-liter Renault RS25 V10 and the 2.4-liter Renault RS26 V8 Formula 1 beasts.

But there is more, alongside the R25 and R26, the 2008 Renault R28 will also make its appearance in the sim. The Renault R28 was the car was a formidable machine, but was made famous for something less glorious. During the 2008 Singapore Grand Prix, Nelson Piquet Jr. revealed that he had been ordered by team boss Flavio Briatore and engineer Pat Symonds to deliberately crash his R28 to rig the race for Fernando Alonso, leading to heavy bans for the team’s management and the loss of its major sponsors.

Reiza will publish some more details regarding the new licence in the upcoming AMS2 Dev Update.

Automobilista 2 is currently available via Steam for €36,99. The Automobilista 2 All-Inclusive Bundle is available for €202,74.
