Sim Racing Garage – Direct Drive Force Feedback Wheel comparison

Barry Rowland of the Sim Racing Garage checks out three of the current Direct Drive Force Feedback Wheel Systems and puts them through their paces in a head to head comparison.

Together with a selection of fellow Sim Racers, Barry performs a test of the simXperience AccuForce Pro, Sim Steering by Leo Bodnar, and the OSW (Open Sim Wheel) high-end steering systems. To start off, barry stripped the units to reveal the motors and various components used while discussing the specs and quality of the materials.

As mentioned, Barry Rowland invited a few sim racing friends over to the Sim Racing Garage to test each of the three Direct Drive Wheel systems, to allow a more diverse opinion on how the differents systems feel when in use. After a session in Barry’s SimXperience Stage IV Full Motion Rig, all the individual testers share their personal detailed opinions on each of the wheels tested and rank the systems accordingly.

After the video was released, a forum thread was published on the official iRacing website, resulting in a rather controversial discussion. As we have seen so often within our little community the proverbial ” can of worms” was opened. iRacing members can check out the thread here.
