Sophia Flörsch Showcases Her Brand New Sim Racing Setup.

In her latest video, Sophia Flörsch takes us for a tour around her brand new Motion Simulator.

Sophia Flörsch is a 20-year-old German racing driver, competing in the FIA Formula 3 Championship with Campos Racing. She is the first woman to race in the championship since its formation after the GP3 Series and European F3 categories were merged.

Besides her F3 campaign, Sophia also joins Katherine Legge and Tatiana Calderón to race the Signatech LMP2 in the European Le Mans Series, and later on, the 2020 edition of the mighty 24 Hours of Le Mans.

While Sophia formally already had a promising career in karting, the Ginetta Junior cup, Formula 4, and Formula 3, most people will recognize her name from a rather unfortunate yet spectacular incident at the 2018 Macau Grand Prix.

In November 2018, Sophia Flörsch participated in the Formula 3 World Cup at the famous but dangerous Macau Grand Prix. During the main race, on Lap 4, she made contact with fellow driver Jehan Daruvala, which caused the car to spin out of control, catapulting her into the Lisboa corner at a very high speed. Then the car penetrated the catch-fence and smashed into a photographer’s bunker. It was truly a horrific crash. (Video below)

Sophia was later diagnosed with a spinal fracture but luckily made a full recovery, and is now back behind the wheel of a racing car.
