Thrustmaster TMX Force Feedback Racing Wheel – First Look by ISR
Thrustmaster announced that in May, they will release the new Thrustmaster TMX Force Feedback Budget wheel for Xbox One and Windows PC. The TMX kit will include a racing wheel and pedal set.
In the included video, Darin Gangi from Inside Sim Racing takes a first look at the new Thrustmaster budget wheel.
The TMX Wheel is based on the Thrustmaster T150 technology and is equipped with a high-performance force feedback motor offering adjustable intensity and the 11”/28 cm diameter wheel rim features a 270 to 900 degrees rotation angle.
The TMX Controller operates in 12bit, and allows for a 4096 read-out resolution by means of an optical sensor. The rim is made out of plastic but is coated with a rubber layer. Furthermore, the TMX features a set of metal wheel-mounted sequential paddle shifters. The strength of the force feedback is adjustable. The wheel rim is fitted with twelve push buttons and a D-pad.
The TMX Force Feedback also includes a plastic, but robust 2 unit pedal set with an adjustable angle of inclination. The brake pedal also offers progressive resistance.
The Wheel can be mounted to desks, tabletops, cockpits, and the likes by means of an adjustable clamp system. The TMX budget steering wheel is compatible with the existing T3PA and T3PA-Pro pedal sets, and can be used with the Thrustmaster TH8A shifter. Note that the TMX is not compatible with the range of Thrustmaster ECO wheel rims.
Thanks to Xbox One-certified embedded software, the controller is automatically recognized by the video game console, which also ensures full compatibility with the menus in all racing games supporting racing wheels. And with the Thrustmaster drivers available for free download from http://ts.thrustmaster.com. Thrustmaster provided drivers for Windows 10, 8, 7 and Vista.
The wheel will be on sale in May for €199.99 / US$199.99.
