A Look At The Simagic P700 Pedals

The Chinese Simagic sim racing peripheral company has introduced the new Simagic P700 Pedals for the PC.

In comparison to its industrial-grade P2000 pedals, the P700 unit is a more affordable entry-level product competing with starter products of Fanatec, Moza, and more.

While the P700 load cell pedal set is marketed as a budget series product, it bridges the gap between the starter P500s and the enthusiast-favorite P1000s without compromising technical innovation, features, or durability. The pedals are built using High-Strength Q235 Steel, injected plastic, and silicone, resulting in a cost-effective, yet robust construction.

The Simagic P700 is currently available as a two-pedal set (Throttle + Brake) with the ability to add an optional clutch pedal sold separately.

One of the main features of the P700 is its 150kg load cell, compared to the 80kg or 100kg load cells used on most budget pedal sets on the market. Furthermore, the P700 features 12-bit Hall-Effect sensors for precise travel detection on the throttle and clutch.

Comfort-wise, the pedal faces are adjustable for height, angle, and horizontal spacing. It even comes with a silicone heel plate, making it surprisingly comfortable for those who prefer racing… socks. Like its big brother, the P1000, the P700 is fully compatible with the P-HPR Haptic Pedal Reactors, which can be bolted onto the pedals to feel ABS vibrations or traction control kicking in.

The unit is controlled by the SimPro Manager V3 software, allowing the pedals to “learn” your braking style during calibration, smoothing out the signal to prevent “noise” at the beginning and end of your pedal stroke. You can further customize the Brake pedal feel to your exact preference using the included elastomers and springs, allowing you to dial in the “bite” of the brake.

Furthermore, the SimPro Manager V3 software allows you to manage the device, update firmware, configure pedal curves, calibrate travel, and adjust advanced functions, including those related to optional haptic motors.

The pedals are connected to a PC via a Direct USB Connection (Standalone Mode) or can be connected to certain SIMAGIC bases via CAN or CAN FD, depending on the wheelbase model used. When using a Simagic Alpha, Alpha Mini, or Alpha U wheelbase (Ecosystem Mode), you can use the RJ45 (Ethernet-style) cable connected to the “Pedal” port on the back of your Simagic wheelbase.
