Fanatec – The New CSL Steering Wheel BMW

Alongside the ultra-high-end 2022 BMW M4 GT3 Podium Series wheel and the older GT2 V2 replica ClubSport Series wheel rim, German Sim Racing peripheral manufacturer Fanatec now added a third BMW branded wheel rim to its lineup.

The new officially licensed CSL Steering Wheel BMW is marketed as the ideal starter wheel for the low-priced CSL DD Direct Drive wheel.

The CSL Steering Wheel BMW wheel features a unique BMW-designed graphic that stretches across the front face and rim. The 300 mm diameter is suitable for many vehicle types, and the lightweight construction retains fine force feedback detail even at low torque settings. The internal structure of the polymer casing means that the wheel is strong and durable. The rubberized grip provides just the right amount of friction and is comfortable to use for long sessions, even with sweaty hands.

You can set up your hardware the way you want using configurable inputs and tuning options. The RevStripe​ and integrated three-digit LED are positioned at the top of the rim so that they are more visible in your eye line while driving. Use the Tuning button and directional stick to quickly adjust your wheelbase force feedback and other hardware settings while you drive.

The wheel plate houses 12 push-buttons, a 5-way directional stick, and the copper-colored metal shifter paddles.

The QR1 Lite Wheel-Side (Simplified Quick Release Adapter) clamps easily to the steering shaft by hand, without the need for tools. The new Quick Release unit can be replaced with the QR1 Wheel-Side (ClubSport Quick Release Adapter which is sold separately.

The CSL Steering Wheel BMW is available for pre-order via the official Fanatec Web Store for €139.95 VAT Incl. + Shipping. The wheels are expected to ship on Feb 7, 2022.
