Rennsport – Peugeot 9X8 EVO Hypercar Introduction Video

Rennsport

Competition Company has officially announced that the Peugeot 9X8 EVO Hypercar will be coming to the Rennsport racing simulator on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S as part of the Endurance Classics Part 1 DLC.

The Endurance Classics Part 1 DLC is the game’s first major post-launch content expansion focused on the “Golden Era” of late-90s endurance racing, which makes the 9X8 EVO a rather modern machine.

Alongside a selection of iconic endurance cars such as teh previously introduced Porsche 911 GT1 ’98, the paid DLC pack will also bring us the legendary Circuit des 24 Heures du Mans.

The release is scheduled for early March. The DLC will also be included with the Rennsport Deluxe Edition.

Peugeot 9X8 EVO Hypercar:

The Peugeot 9X8 EVO represents a radical shift in philosophy for the French manufacturer. While the original 9X8 became famous for its “wingless” silhouette, the EVO version was redesigned to be more conventional and more competitive, against rivals like Ferrari and Toyota.

The Hybrid (Electric front / Internal Combustion rear) 9X8 EVO is powered by a 2.6L Twin-Turbo V6 (90° angle) and a 200 kW (272 hp) Motor-Generator Unit (MGU) on the front axle, which is restricted by rules, letting it only engage above 190 km/h.

The 9X8 EVO can accelerate from 0–100 km/h (0–62 mph) in roughly 2.2 to 2.5 seconds, and can reach a top Speed of 343 km/h (213 mph).
