SimAbility Load Cell & Bluetooth Controller Prototype

It is great to know that there is a company out there catering for our physically challenged sim racing friends.

A few years ago, Glenn Sidman founded the Simability company which specializes in Sim-Racing Adaptive Controls. This way it becomes possible for people with a disability to take part in our wonderful hobby. Simability develops affordable solutions by providing hand controlled adaptations to existing sim racing gear from SRW, Logitech, Thrustmaster, and Fanatec.

One of their popular products is the 2e generation GT Style Ring Hand Control unit. Now Glenn introduces a new (prototype) product which includes a Loadcell brake and wireless Bluetooth connection. Glen explains the functionality of the product and shows us why some users might choose this product over the older GT Style Ring Hand Controller. The new controller will become available for most brands of sim racing wheels with a removable rim system.

The new Simability wireless controller is scheduled to become available somewhere in 2019. We will keep you posted when Glenn shares more updates.
