Assetto Corsa Competizione GT4 Pack Preview By Chris Haye
Avid Sim Racer and YouTuber Chris Haye presents his comprehensive preview of the upcoming GT4 Pack DLC for Assetto Corsa Competizione. In a nicely edited video presentation, Chris introduces each of the new cars in the GT4 pack and shares some background info about both the real and simulated versions.
Unless you are a sim racer living under a rock, you will know by now that tomorrow, Kunos Simulazioni will release the GT4 Pack DLC for ACC on Windows PC (Steam). The Xbox One and Playstation 4 console versions will become available in the fall of 2020.
It is safe to say that in the past few years, GT class racing has become one of the most popular racing series in the world. The top predators in the international GT competition are the GTE class cars, followed closely by their GT3 versions. (not taking the Japanese Super GT into account) At the lower end of the GT family we find the GT4 class.
While these GT4 cars have on average a 100HP less than their bigger GT3 brothers and have to stay on the track with a significantly reduced aero package leading to less downforce, the racing itself is by no means less exiting. I would even dare to say its quite the opposite.
Therefore, the GT4 cars are a very welcome addition to the already abundant Assetto Corsa Competizione GT3 content.
The GT4 Pack DLC will include 11 car models as raced in domestic and international series such as the SRO GT4 European Series. Furthermore, the DLC will include 42 new car liveries and GT4 specific rules for single and multiplayer modes. The GT4 Pack DLC will coincide with the release of the V1.5 update for Assetto Corsa Competizione, which will also add multi-class racing to the title.
